Happy Valentine’s Day from Jake! Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to take some silly, cheesy photos and you know I can’t resist a good photo shoot. Last year I got these great photos of Jake when he was one and turned them into postcards for the family. We had so much fun that day as a family and I knew I wanted to do something again this year. Only problem is that photographing a two-year-old is a whole new challenge! I mean when I ask him to smile, I get this weird contorted face, and that’s only if he complies! I knew I would need an incentive to get a happy naturally smiling model, so what better lure than a little Valentine’s Day candy?
This was actually his first lollipop and I daresay he enjoyed it! Afterwards we cried with laughter at the clown like ring of pink stickiness around his mouth. Think I can convince him that lollipops are only ever eaten outdoors?! Luckily the sugar rush was worth it and we got these fun Valentine’s Day photos that are just brimming over with his personality. I can’t wait to share them and turn them into Valentine’s Day surprises for friends and family. Also, photo tip, the large conversation hearts work SO much better than the small ones for close detailed shots.
Anyone else out there into Valentine’s photos, even if it means a sticky toddler? Leave us a link in the comments, I’d love to see!
