Texas Inspired Style
Many moons ago I lived in Houston, Texas. My longhorn state stay was only for a couple of years, so while it was, admittedly, short, I did meet some incredible people there, including three of my bridesmaids. The people of Texas definitely left an imprint on me as did the fashion. I’ve always had a country lovin’ side, hence 2/3 of the concerts I’ve been to in my life have been country artists, so it was no real surprise when I fell further in love with country style influences after living in Texas. I’m not talking about going full on cowgirl with it, not that I have a problem with, I love cowgirl chic actually, but there are all kinds of ways you can insert a little Texas inspired style into your look!
I, for instance, payed homage to Texas with the cow skulls print in this look. My favorite boyfriend jeans, booties and tank were set off by a cow skull print kimono (if you look carefully you can see them amongst the flowers) as well as a longhorn necklace. I picked these Texas-ready beauties up at my favorite little Blue Ridge Mountains shops in Clayton, Georgia, The Boutique at The Treehouse, so if you’re as in love with them as I am, it’s worth reaching out to the owner, Devon, to see if you can snag your own! In the meantime, I’ve included some great alternatives to help recreate my outfit below!
Shop the look: kimono / cow skull tank / cow skull necklace / boyfriend jeans / booties / aviators

I really love the kimono look. That is such a classic, yet modern piece. The longhorn necklace is so fun, how about something that says Texas outloud??
That kimono is so much fun which reminds me I have to get one soon. I’ve always wanted to get one but I keep on forgetting. I love how you styled it too!
