Three Thanksgiving Treats for Kids

Halloween is over and Thanksgiving will be here before we know it. And while I’m SO tempted to bring out my holiday decorations NOW, I’m really trying to stay in the moment this year and give Thanksgiving the attention it’s due. I have so much to be thankful for from my family, to our health and even our new home, so while I might typically start the holiday baking and crafting fun early, I’ve decided to focus on more Thanksgiving projects with the kiddos this November. In fact, I think we’ll even start working on Megan’s thankful jar idea! And while we’re filling our our jar with our notes of gratitude, we’ll also be whipping up some Thanksgiving treats to share with our loved ones! And just in case you’re in the same frame of mind, I’ve rounded up some of our favorite Thanksgiving treats for kids for you!

Thanksgiving Treats

candy corn stalks

Candy Corn Stalks…No bake treats are a go-to of mine when I want to get in the kitchen with the kids. They feel like they’re really making something and I don’t have to turn on the oven.

sugar cone teepees

Sugar Cone Teepees…Make these darling teepees and use it as an opportunity for education! Select a Native American tribe who lived in teepees and study them as a family.

gingerbread donuts

Gingerbread Donuts with Fall Sprinkles…Gingerbread definitely evokes a holiday mood for moi, but by decorating these gingerbread donuts with fall colors, you get the best of both worlds!

I hope you and your family enjoy some quality time in the coming weeks and that these Thanksgiving treats for kids offer up an opportunity for you and yours to spend some time together in the kitchen. It’s always been my family’s favorite place to convene. Hey, what can I say? We love to eat. Haha!
