How to Wear Frayed Hem Jeans
An easy way to wear one of our favorite fashion trends, frayed hem jeans. They’re great for both dressy looks and more casual outfits like ours!
I love the frayed hem jeans look and have for a while now. In fact, I received a KUT from the Cloth pair in a Stitch Fix delivery a few years back and still wear them all the time!

I had seen Jolynne from Jolynne Shayne, wear them a bunch of times in fabulous ways, so I had been somewhat looking for a pair of frayed hem jeans myself. Being that I didn’t have a ton of time to go shopping, it was great to be able to have a pair delivered right to my door with very little effort. And that sentiment is why I’m still using Stitch Fix to this day, but I digress…
Seriously though, three cheers for Stitch Fix! They make updating my wardrobe so much easier with one box chock full of fun, on-trend goodies. I actually have an order coming to me very soon which I will be sure to share with you! They aren’t always home runs, but, for the most part, I keep a lot of what is sent. The key is being very specific about what you want in the notes sections!
In the meantime, let’s talk about those frayed hem jeans!
How to Wear Frayed Hem Jeans – Great for Dressy Looks and Casual Outfits
This particular pair of jeans is the kind of denim you can easily dress up or down, which is always a hit with me. For today’s featured look, I went the casual route because I am always looking to bring my floral Supergas out to play!
The Superga Carnation-Print Sneakers are definitely go-tos in my spring style…and my winter style too for that matter! The vibrant floral print adds a pop of fun to any look and they were the perfect pair of foot candy to style with my new frayed-hem jeans and cozy funnel neck pullover that I also got in that same Stitch Fix order! Really, any bright colored sneaker will give you the same vibe!
You can bet all three of these scores have been worn on repeat many times over. The pullover is oh so comfy and light enough for early spring wear, while the frayed hem jeans are begging to be rocked with a dressier date night type look next. And those sneakers will surely add some legitimacy to my school drop off ensembles. Haha!
When February rolls around, which it almost have, I focus on buying pieces that can transition to spring with ease…
Shop the look: frayed hem jeans / green pullover / multi-colored sneakers / aviators
Or you can just make it easy on yourself and place a Stitch Fix order! Remember, in the note section, ask for just what you’re looking for.

I had no idea frayed hems were a thing now. I kinda like it. I know when I used to serve, I would get in trouble for my hems being frayed but that was because I am short and the pants were too long haha
Love these! I’ve been wanting to try them.

I’m totally loving that cowl neck sweatshirt. I just might have to sign up for StitchFix.
These are really cute and they are paired great with the shoes. The only downside, is that because I am 5’2″ by jeans tend to bunch at the bottom so not sure these would work for me
I’m so short that all of my pants have had frayed hems for years! LOL. I’ve never been able to find a pair that didn’t drag the ground.
I wear a lot of frayed hem jeans – not necessarily as a fashion statement, but more because I am so short I need to have everything tailored. With jeans I tend to just cut them, and then they are all frayed 🙂 Love this look!

I’ve been toying around with this trend. I have short legs so much of my jeans end up frayed at some point. These do look like the length might work. I’m also love the embroidered jeans I’ve seen. Not sure which I want to add to my collection.
