And that is why I am going to to share a caramel apple pie crescents recipe with you today! In my house, we enjoy caramel apples all season long. They aren’t just relegated to Halloween. Oh no! In fact, caramel apple pie is one of our favorite Thanksgiving treats. My mom makes an incredible version of this classic pie, so I’m not about to mess with perfection. But what I can do is bring another kind of caramel apple pie treat to the table this year. Not only are these caramel apple pie crescents beyond delicious, but they’re super easy to whip up! Easy is music to this busy mom’s ears…Who’s with me?! I knew you would be. So, let’s find out how to make this delectable fall dessert, shall we?

Caramel Apple Pie Crescents

3 to 4 apples, cored, halved, sliced thin
2 (8 ounce) cans crescent rolls

25 caramels, unwrapped
1 to 2 teaspoons water

1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
2. Mix together the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Reserve about 1 tablespoon of mixture for dusting the crescents.
3. Core and slice the apples. Place in them in a mixing bowl and toss together with the remaining sugar and cinnamon mixture. Pour lemon juice over the apples and toss again. Set aside for about 10 minutes to allow he apples to start breaking down.
4. Unroll the crescent dough and separate triangles. Place the sliced apples on the large end of the triangles. Top them with an unwrapped caramel and carefully roll up, keeping the apples inside the dough.
5. Sprinkle the crescents with remaining sugar and cinnamon mixture.
6. Bake for 13 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove the crescents from the oven.
7. In a small bowl, add the remaining caramels and 1 teaspoon of water. Microwave on high in 30 second increments, stirring well between each cycle, until melted. Add additional water if needed to reach drizzling consistency.
8. Drizzle the caramel over each crescent and serve warm.
