Three Easy No-Cook Appetizers
Hi, it’s Jackie from Jackie Fogartie Events, and I’m back with another easy entertaining how-to!
We’ve all had the feeling – you want to entertain, but you don’t want to cook. Maybe it’s a lack of time or maybe you just aren’t into cooking. There are so many apps that involve little time and even less cooking – I’m talking zero! So, leave your oven in the off position and stock your kitchen with these no-cook appetizer ingredients to entertain like a regular Gwyneth Paltrow!
Shrimp Cocktail
Shrimp cocktail is a fail-safe appetizer option. Everyone loves it, it seems fancy and it takes practically no effort. This app is all about the presentation. Mix together classic cocktail sauce with a bit of horseradish (or a lot if you like it spicy!) and scoop into individual shot glasses. Hook the shrimp onto the tops of the glasses and voila – a fun presentation and individual appetizer for each guest to enjoy!
Caprese Skewers
Being Italian, a salad to me involves tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese and basil for a classic Caprese. I love to serve this on a toothpick skewer and drizzle with olive oil and balsamic for an easy pickup app. The colors are gorgeous too!
Spinach-Artichoke Crostini
Crostini might be the greatest grocery store offering since sliced bread. Pick up a pack of crostini and your favorite pre-made dip (I love spinach artichoke dip) for an insta-appetizer! Put a dollop of dip on a crostini and top with a piece of shaved parmesan for a beautiful presentation.
All these apps look chic and show that you put time and effort into entertaining for your guests. No one needs to know how easy it is! Happy entertaining!
Thanks again for the awesomely talented Kristen LeQuire Photography for the gorgeous photos!

Love shrimp cocktails!
Ditto! My mom usually takes care of it for our family holidays, but thanks to this, I’m on it this year!
These looks so good. I need to start cooking a little more, my husband does all the cooking now, he often wonders how I survived without him before I met him. Hehehe.
My hubs cooks more too!
Oh my goodness these are amazing!! I need to try this next event:)
Right? And so easy!
I am all about the caprese – though the spinach artichoke crustini look pretty great too!
Love the simplicity of these appetizers. Anytime we can save time in the kitchen to spend it with our guests I am all for it. going to try the spinach artichoke crustini next.
Thank you,
