Sail to Sable Dress, Preppy Coastal Fashion
When I tried on this Sail to Sable dress I knew I had found a new favorite brand. I was shopping at the Dragonfly boutique in Easton during a little mother-daughter getaway. At first glance I was pretty smitten with this dress on the rack.

I had been planning a photoshoot for our upcoming family trip to Italy (Read all about our Flytographer experience) and had a specific color palette in mind based on what the rest of the family was wearing. Typically, I like for us to all look like ourselves in family photos. WhileI don’t want us to match each other exactly, I don’t want any crazy clashing happening. I knew this color palette of pale pink and blue strips was perfect. While I’m normally more of a fit and flare girl than an aline, I just loved the cowl neck detail and the big gold buttons that were going down the back. Of course it had to be mine.
How I Styled My Sail to Sable Dress
Styling the Sail to Sable dress was a cinch. I knew black or brown heels would be too heavy. I decided to go for my cork heels which looked great. I had two kids and a stroller with me so when I had to ditch the heels for practical purposes, my nude patent Tory Burch sandals were great for a more laid back vibe.
To accessorize I went with small gold studs and then a fun thick gold cuff style bracelet. It was just enough bling without being too much. Of course there is no better accessory than a genuine smile and feeling good in what you are wearing!

Overall I really loved this Sail to Sable dress and then started looking into more of the label’s line. I must have been living under a rock because here in Annapolis, it’s everywhere! There are so many cute preppy nautical looks that just scream east coast and southern style! While brand new they can be a little pricey, I discovered there are several gently used or discount options on ThreadUp, Poshmark and more. If you love that classic preppy style this is a brand worth looking for.
