Polar Vortex Style

As I prepare to head to the frozen tundra, otherwise known as New York City, I’m leaving behind my short sleeves and flats and pulling together my sweaters and boots. I know all you northerners have been dealing with some seriously frigid temperatures and I just hope my thin Florida blood can handle it. Haha! I know we all heard enough about the Polar Vortex last year, but it seems like it’s back no? So, let’s talk Polar Vortex style…

So, for this week’s Monday Mingle look I decided to feature the kind of cold weather style I’ll be attempting to channel on my trip. I had good intentions for shooting an outfit post or two this weekend, but decided to whisk the kids off for a surprise trip to Disney World instead. Did I mention that the weather was just beautiful too? Sorry. I couldn’t resist. Don’t worry, payback’s coming pour moi tomorrow!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to find a pair of snow boots. Something tells me I’m in for a quite a quest. I’m guessing snow boots aren’t in hot demand here in Tampa. Wish me luck!

And now that you’ve seen my Polar Vortex style, don’t forget to head over to Momtrends and Thirty Something Fashion to see what looks they’re rockin’…You can link up your own stylish posts at Momtrends this week.

I want a pair of Sorel boots so bad, but you literally can not find them anywhere.

That’s a great outfit! I love those boots but it’s hard to rationalize buying a pair since I live in Southern California!
