I don’t know what it feels like in your neck of the woods, but here in Florida, it is H-O-T! We’re already hitting temps in the nineties. You know what that means right? I’m spending a lot of time in my pool. I’m all for anything that will help me cool down.

You might remember that I hurt myself a while back, so instead of going for a 30-40 minute run like I used to, I’m either spinning, YAY PELOTON, or walking for 60-90 minutes. That means I’m out in the heat even longer.

So, when I get back from a walking sesh, all I want to do is hop in the pool and sip on a nice, cold drink. Now depending on how late in the day it is, that drink just might be alcoholic. Haha!

Sure, I buy sparkling water by the case, but come Friday afternoon, I really want a cocktail. In fact, I thought I would share one of my new favorite summer drinks with you today!

Say hello to the Cucumber Melon Cooler. Cucumber is so light and refreshing. And don’t get me started how much I love it paired with melon.

Can anyone guess what signature Bath & Body Works scent used to me? Ahhh the nineties…So, are you ready to make your own refreshing Cucumber Melon Cooler? Here are the ingredients you’ll need.

You’ll find the measurements and full directions at the end of this post! Happy mixing my fellow at home bartenders! I wish I could toast you in person, but trust me, I’m holding up a close to you and all you’ve done during this crazy time!

Ingredients:

ice
melon flavored vodka like Grey Goose Le Melon
cucumber slices
lemon lime soda

Now you may wonder what a cucumber melon cocktail tastes like. The cucumber isn’t overpowering in this particular drink. I find that can happen with cucumber water, especially when the cucumbers have been soaking in it a long time.

What to Serve with Summer Drinks

If you serve up our Cucumber Melon Cooler right away, you will find that it’s the perfect combination of cucumber and melon, and not too heavy on the cucumber.  I just thought I would address that since it’s been an issue for me.

Now, since we’re talking about what to serve to drink tonight, that brings up another question. What can you serve with a cucumber melon cocktail? I think this summer drink would go great with our smoked salmon spread recipe!

Our smoked salmon appetizer is always a hit at summer parties and barbecues. And even if you plan on sticking close to home, I’m sure your family would appreciate this delicious summer appetizer recipe too!

And in case you want to try some more of our favorite summer drinks, I included some of my go-tos below! Our watermelon vodka cocktail is our most popular post ever for a reason!

Oh and to make the fun with this drink last even longer, you could make it a Halloween cocktail by popping in frozen green grapes. They make great eyeballs! Haha! Or how about gummy worms? They would be super cute in this drink too!
