If you’re looking for a treat yourself moment, read on to find out how to make the best salted caramel smores latte recipe!
Now that we’re firmly entrenched in fall, are you finding it hard to get going in the morning? I know I’m not the only mom who’s schedule is absolutely jam packed these days! It can all be so overwhelming, this whole family management thing. Sometimes I just want to stay in bed with the covers over my head. But that doesn’t last long. A wild child usually rips them off me before I can really delve into my fantasy. Bwah! So, I have to use little tricks to help keep me moving no matter how many millions of things are on my agenda!
Coffee is obviously a big part of that. If you’ve been around these parts before, you know how much I love my java. And one of my new go-tos is the Lavazza Keurig® K-Cup® Classico Pods that I pick up at my local Publix. This balanced roast has a rich, full bodied flavor that makes it strong enough to sub in for espresso. It’s not an exact dupe, but the smooth medium roast leaves no aftertaste, so it won’t mess with the sweet flavors you add with this recipe. Because let’s face it. We don’t always have time for the fancy stuff.
Sure, I love to whip out my pretty espresso machine on lazy Saturday mornings, but on those hectic weekdays, mama needs something faster. Do we have to wait for the weekend to enjoy the kind of decadent treat that will start our day off on a super high note? The answer is heck NO! Hello Keurig! In fact, I played around with a recipe that you can whip up rather quickly and it will taste just like your favorite barista spent some serious time on it!
Salted Caramel Latte Hack
8 oz. strong coffee
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup mini marshmallows
2 tbs crushed graham cracker
1 tbs chocolate sauce
pinch of sea salt
1 tbs caramel sauce
1. Wet the rim of your coffee mug and dip into graham cracker crumbs.
2. Brew your coffee and pour into mug. In this case, pop the K-Cup® into your Keurig. Haha!
3. Heat your milk until steaming and whisk it until frothy. Make sure not to scald it.
4. Pour your milk into your coffee.
5. Add mini marshmallows and chocolate chips to taste.
6. Drizzle chocolate syrup and salted caramel sauce on top of your smores latte.
7. Add the pinch of sea salt to finish.
